Great Neighborhoods
Irving is a city of great neighborhoods, each with its own unique character and appeal. Whether you prefer an older home in a long-established part of the city, a home in a new subdivision, or the convenience of apartment living, Irving has the place for you.
Several of Irving’s neighborhoods are among the most popular for urban sophisticates in the DFW area, due to the availability of jobs, transportation and its central location in the Metroplex.

Here are just a few of Irving’s great neighborhoods:
- Las Colinas is a deed-restricted section of Irving with housing options ranging from high-end apartments in the Urban Center and approximately 15 distinct, primarily high-end, neighborhoods.
- Valley Ranch is also a deed-restricted area that lies north of I-635. It has a wide range of single- and multi-family homes from affordable to high end. Canals and walk paths meander through the neighborhoods.
- The Hospital District, adjacent to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving, is a quiet, older section with mature trees shading streets and homes.
- Heritage District is where Irving was born. It features an eclectic mix of old and new homes, able to walk to dinner and entertainment, or take the Trinity Rail Express on an adventure.
- Northgate Heights is a small, friendly neighborhood, with only about 124 homes and lots of trees.
